In the early 60’s, our founding father “dared to dream”; to start a learning institute in the green-field area called “Homoeopathy”. This healthcare science was then little known in this part of India. Thus was born in 1967, at Belgaum, the first ever-Homoeopathic Medical College in the State of Karnataka under the name of Dr. A. M. Shaikh Homeopathic College & Hospital – established in the year 1967 starting with only 14 students.
It took many years of focused hard work to consolidate this institution, into one of the leading Homeopathic colleges of India. The strong foundation laid by the founders, especially Dr. A. M. Shaikh, who dedicated his entire retired life to nurture this institute, was the stepping-stone for further expansion and growth of the Shaikh Group.
1996 was a historical year for the Institute for in August this year it was accredited, as the first-ever College in India, with ISO certification (by TUV Germany).
Since then, there has been no looking back, and our Shaikh Group has gone from strength to strength to serve the society through ‘Quality Education – delivered professionally’.
We embarked upon a journey of development and growth based on transparency and accountability and brought in professionalism through systems. This has helped us in our endeavors to establish many institutions during a short span and to utilize our limited resources optimally. Our growth has been significant, and the same has been made possible through careful planning, implementation, and dedicated team effort!
The success of our endeavors during the last 12 years – starting with a Playschool for underprivileged children and adding a number of Institutes, both at the Graduate and Post Graduate level, have emboldened us to think and plan big.
Our professional approach based on systems, accountability, and FUN WORKING / LEARNING leading to quality education has been and will continue to be the cornerstone of all that we do at our campuses. Our dedicated team of academics and its support associates are fully tuned into take the Shaikh Group of Institutions to higher levels of achievement in the years to come. This will ensure the much-needed professionalism in the field of Education to deliver quality, which shall lead to enlightened learning.
